We want to extend a huge congratulations to the winners and finalists of the 2018 Young Artists and Authors Showcase. For decades, Sister Cities International has leveraged the power that art has to transform societies and transcend cultural boundaries through the Young Artists and Authors Showcase. The Showcase has given youth worldwide the opportunity to express their vision for a more unified, peaceful world through original artwork and literature.
This yearβs theme was the βArt of Diplomacy,β which highlights the importance of citizen diplomacy and the innovative ways citizen diplomats achieve peace through people-to-people interaction. Students were encourage to draw inspiration from their experiences with Sister Cities, travel, exchange, international friendships, and the many ways that people cultivate relationships across cultures.

The winners in each category will receive a $1,000 cash prize. The winnersβ and finalistsβ work will also be on display at our 2018 Annual Conference in Aurora Colorado next week, August 2-4.
